Starting July 1, we will be using a new electronic health record (EHR) called athenahealth for your patient portal.
With this transition, we’re introducing a brand-new patient portal and the free athenaPatient mobile app, making it easier and more convenient way for managing your healthcare.
To Get Started Today:
1. Register on our Patient Portal. Already registered? Go to Step 2.
- Visit the Patient Portal in a web browser.
- Follow the prompts to register with your email address and password.
2. Download the athenaPatient app.
- Open the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Search for “athenaPatient”
- Install the athenaPatient app on your smartphone. The app works with iPhones and Android phones
3. Log in
- Use your Patient Portal email address and password to log in.
- Open the athenaPatient app on your smartphone.

What About MyChart?
If you received care from Altais Medical Group, Altais Medical Group Riverside, or Family Care Specialists before June 30, 2025, don’t worry—you can still access your historical records in MyChart.
There will be no changes to your MyChart access. You’ll continue to be able to view past services, manage payment plans, and pay your bills online, just as you have done previously.
